Since mid-2016, Mr. Emanuele is the main focal point for South-South and Triangular Cooperation at the Pan American Health Organization / Word Health Organization (PAHO/WHO), and in charge of promoting cooperation among countries for health development in the region of the Americas, including the coordination of the CCHD Funding Mechanism. Before joining PAHO/WHO he was the Director of Cooperation and International Relations of the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador, overseeing multilateral relations and bilateral cooperation in line with the country’s foreign policy objectives.

Previously, he served as a Consultant for the United Nations Environment Programme, supporting the development of public policy and implementation of projects on sustainable consumption and production. Followed the negotiation processes of the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development, as well as the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio + 20).

He holds a Degree in International Economics and Administration, a Master in Economics and Administration of Public Institutions and International Organizations from the Luigi Bocconi University (Milan, Italy), as well a Master in Political Sciences, focused on International Affairs and with a specialization in International Economic Policy awarded by the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris - Sciences-Po (Paris, France)
