The Comoros Agency for International Cooperation (ACCI) was established in 2016 as part of a comprehensive reform of the Comorian public administration. This reform aimed to enhance the efficiency of the administration.
In accordance with Decree No. 17-007/PR dated January 27, 2017, which pertains to the creation of the National Agency for International Cooperation (ACCI), specifically Article 2, this note outlines the specific missions and responsibilities of ACCI within its appointed areas of competence.
ACCI operates under the joint supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Diaspora, and Francophonie, and the Ministry of Finance, Budget, and the Banking Sector. At the same time, ACCI is endowed with legal entity and administrative, and financial autonomy.
The ACCI, a tangible proof of initiating structural changes for the Union of the Comoros, is responsible for advancing the country’s objectives in the Emerging Comoros Plan 2030.
Since 2018, with support from various institutions, it has engaged in awareness-raising and advocacy efforts with authorities regarding the significance of South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
A the same time, ACCI’s cooperation contributes to implementing the Emerging Comoros Plan (PCE) across vital sectors like water, health, education, agriculture, and climate change.
