Highlights: The China-IFAD South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) Facility

Established in 2018, the China-IFAD South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) Facility is a partnership between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and IFAD. It aims to leverage knowledge, innovation, technology and resources from the Global South to tackle poverty and sustain food systems transformation. The Facility supports 17 projects across more than 40 countries. It prioritizes to:

  1. Promote innovations in strengthening the productive, managerial, fnancial and marketing capacities of rural people;
  2. Pilot inclusive production and business models which generate higher incomes for rural people in agricultural and non-agricultural rural activities;
  3. Promote investments and trade between developing countries that provide services or markets to rural people.
