IBRAF is launching a Fellowship Program on South-South and Triangular Cooperation (IFP). Professors, Ph.D. candidates, Masters students, specialists, undergraduates, and professionals of the field of international relations and related areas can participate. Fellows will be able to follow, monitor, and study the international cooperation projects being developed by IBRAF, as well as by its wide network of partner organizations.

South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) is one of the main drivers and catalysts of international development and has become an important object of discussions, especially in recent years, when we see the growing need for greater cooperation between countries and the challenges for the implementation of a credible global development agenda.

Visiting fellows will be able to engage in one of the following key-areas, addressing themes that are relevant and pressing for Brazil, the African continent, and other regions:

  • Trade and investments across the South Atlantic;
  • Technical cooperation and capacity-building;
  • Economic and sustainable development;
  • Demography, urbanization, housing, and public health;
  • Agriculture, agribusiness, and rural development.

The IFP will last 8 weeks, with participants being in Brazil between January and March of 2021. During the program, Visiting Fellows will engage in the production of briefing notes, research papers, situation analysis, op-eds, and seminars.
