19 August 2021: An international organization headquartered in Gurgaon (Delhi), India, the International Solar Alliance (ISA) is a coalition of solar-resource-rich countries and was established to address their special energy needs. The vision and mission of the ISA is to provide a dedicated platform for cooperation among solar resource rich countries where the global community, including bilateral and multilateral organizations, corporates, industry, and other stakeholders, can make a positive contribution to assist and help achieve the common goals of increasing the use of solar energy in meeting energy needs of the ISA Member Countries in a safe, convenient, affordable, equitable and sustainable manner.
ISA is a growing international organization with 77 member countries, and more are joining the cause every day. The Alliance is tasked with the purpose of universalization of solar energy to facilitate energy access in every corner of the world, and strives to impact key areas of universal energy access, ensure energy security, energy transition to cleaner sources, and green economic recovery.
