By January 30, 2019 October 12th, 2020 South South in Action

UNFPA, the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency, and the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) are pleased to jointly present this edition of South-South in Action (SSiA). Launched in 2016, these reports are intended to be a platform where South-South and triangular cooperation partners can present and share their successful development solutions. This edition highlights a sample of UNFPA’s good practices of actual SSC partnerships in the areas of its mandate.

This publication highlights a set of 24 UNFPA good practices on South-South cooperation (SSC) in the areas of sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights, gender equality, youth empowerment, and population data for development. It includes SSC case studies on family planning, maternal and child health, midwifery, obstetric fistula, HIV and AIDS, SRH in humanitarian setting, population data and population aging.  It demonstrates the successes and commitment of UNFPA and its partners in promoting South-South partnerships for the SDGs.  It  also serves as a knowledge base for potential SSC partners looking for suitable SSC solutions.
