Qianqian Liu

Qianqian LIU is Deputy Director-General of the Finance Center for South-South Cooperation (FCSSC), based in Hong Kong. Previously, Dr. Liu worked for the China Center for International Knowledge on Development and Department of International Cooperation of the Development Research Center of the State Council of China (DRC). Before joining DRC, Dr. Liu was a research fellow in the Research Division of the International Poverty Reduction Center in China from 2011 to 2015. In 2014, she worked as a policy analyst in the Division of Global Partnership and Policy in OECD DCD in Paris.

Dr. Liu’s research interests include China’s foreign aid, green aid, the political economy of East Asia, regionalism and regional integration in Asia and poverty reduction. Dr. Liu has published several books and articles in recent years in the area of international relations and international development. She is the author of Regional Cooperation and China’s Strategy towards East Asia (London 2012). She holds a Ph.D. in International Relations at the University of Cambridge, UK and a Master’s degree in International Relations at the University of Bristol, UK.
